Since 1975, DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) has been the leader in advocating for and providing services to seniors. Our mission and services help seniors live safely in their homes and communities and provide them with the resources necessary to maintain their physical and mental health.

Through the generosity of supporters, we are able to sustain and enhance critical services and help ensure that our organization can efficiently provide superior services to the senior population for generations to come.

DSCC has many giving opportunities and will work with you to make sure your gift has the greatest impact. Giving opportunities include:

  1. Annual campaign: Support on-going services and new initiatives.
  2. Sustainability Fund (Hyperlink): Our Sustainability Fund is a permanent reserve and long-term capital pool that provides DSCC predictable funding, protects against grant volatility, and sustains core programs through economic cycles.
  3. Commemorative and Memorial Giving: Make a gift in honor or memory of a loved one.
  4. Volunteer Recognition Program: Honor a special DSCC volunteer
  5. Capital and Infrastructure: Support the continued increases in technology and capital equipment that are necessary to deliver services.

DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) is a 501(c)(3) community-based volunteer-driven not-for-profit organization with a $9-million-dollar operating budget, funded by a mix of public grants and philanthropic support that fills the gap between rising service demand, rising costs and flat government funding.

With the help of our generous community of donors, philanthropy makes a tremendous impact on thousands of older adults.

Who We Serve….

  1. More than 1,440,473 people live in DuPage and Kane County – 31% are over 60.
  2. Most older adults we serve live alone, are homebound and have limited income.
  3. 99% are below the Federal Poverty Level
  4. 100% are below the DuPage and Kane County Median Family Income Levels.

Large or small, DSCC values every gift we receive. Special recognition of individual benefactors and corporate donors includes:

  • Founding Members of the Sustainability Fund are recognized on the donor wall, located in Lombard in the DuPage Senior Citizens Council office, on a special page on our Websites.
  • Lifetime Giving recognizes donors with cumulative giving of $100,000 or more.
  • Legacy Giving recognizes individuals who name DuPage Senior Citizens Council in their will or estate plans
  • Special recognition opportunities are available for gifts of $25,000 or more.
