The Community Dining Program provides seniors with an ever-changing fresh menu and the opportunity to socialize with other seniors. The dining centers offer a variety of different meal options that reflect the many cultures that exist within DuPage County. Staff works hard to keep dining centers fun and lively by hosting special activities and events.
With over 11 dining centers throughout DuPage County, seniors are sure to find one (or two) that satisfies their taste buds.
Meals are low in sodium and cholesterol and may be adjusted to fulfill diabetic and vegetarian needs. DSCC’s dietician is available for assistance to seniors with specific nutritional concerns.
All meals meet the 1/3 Dietary Reference Intake established by the US Government.
It costs DSCC over $8.00 to deliver and serve a single meal to a senior. Our major funding sources cover approximately $4 per meal. DSCC must raise the additional money to cover the costs of the meals. Seniors are asked to donate as much they feel they can afford to help reduce the cost gap.
