INTERGENERATIONAL ACTIVITIES

When Younger People Get Active In The Lives Of Our Seniors

WHAT ARE INTERGENERATIONAL ACTIVITIES?

Intergenerational Activities simply refers to activities that are done by others – usually people who are a different generation than our seniors – that help support our seniors in some way. Some examples of current and past Intergenerational Activities include:

Gift Bag Program

Groups have made small gift bags filled with travel sized toiletries and personal items for our seniors. Our seniors love receiving these small and useful items.

Plays and Concerts

From time to time, youth groups and students will organize a play or a mini-concert to entertain our seniors. These activities are usually hosted at one of our community dining centers and our seniors enjoy the free events put on just for them.

Greeting Card Program

Who doesn’t love getting a handmade greeting card? Our seniors especially love receiving cards and drawings by someone who was thinking of them.
